Update on House to Parking Project
The Trustees of First UMC met March 13 at which time Randy Fiscus updated the committee on the process of removing the house next door and leveling the lot.
There was discussion on what can be salvaged from the house and how to proceed with that process. Trustees have designated
Friday, April 6 from 3:00-7:00 pm and Saturday, April 7, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm for interested parties to come into the house, look at what they would like to take out and determine what they would offer as payment for those items. Forms for bidding will be made available.
There are Waivers of Liability in the church office which must be signed by anyone before entering the house for any reason.
The Trustees will review the bids received and contact winning bidders. The dates for removal of items will be Friday, April 13, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, and Saturday, April 14, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Easter Sermon Series – A Place to Call Home  Begins the second week of Easter.
The scriptures during the Easter season speak time and again about the family of God, of loving one another as brothers and sisters, children of God. Several times, the word “abide” invites us to reside, to dwell in the presence of the Risen One. On Easter Sunday, a messenger tells the disciples to meet the risen Jesus back at Galilee, the place they began together and the place where they lived and worked together during his ministry. We all have a need to belong. During the six weeks of Easter, we will explore what it means to have “a place to call home” in our spiritual lives. Whether you grew up in this church or whether this is your first time here, you are invited to come home!

Appreciation Sunday
We will be honoring these volunteers as well as all of our Christian Education teachers and leaders on Sunday, April 29, during the 9:00 am worship service. Our programs would not happen without the help of volunteers. I am looking forward to recognizing them for all the time and energy they have put into our programs this year. Sunday, April 29, will also be our last day of Sunday School for this year. There also will be NO Sunday School on Easter Sunday, April 1.
